Day 1 - June 20

Friday, June 20

We've arrived safe and sound in Lima, Peru! Our connecting flight in Houston was delayed a few hours, but we took off shortly after 6 pm (central time).

We passed the time in the airport by playing a rousing game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors." We even tried having all 10 of us compete at once. It was quite humorous! Congrats to Evan who won the first round, and Eric who won the second. The rest of us will continue to practice until it's time for our flight back home.

We arrived in Lima around midnight and made it through customs by 1 am. After loading our bus and taking a very adventurous bus ride to our hotel, we were asleep by quarter to 3 am. We look forward to meeting the girls at Reina de la Paz and the kids at San Ricardo.

Thank you for your prayer support! We are feeling them all the way in Peru! The adventure now begins... as does the sleep deprivation. But as was the mantra last year, "sleep is for sissies." ;) We can't wait to see how God will use us here in Peru! Stay tuned for more updates!

I am having trouble signing up for this blog, so hope it comes across. You all look like you are having so much fun--kids and adults. Love the pictures! And the videos are neat. Michelle, you write very well, but you and Paul stay away from "sin". :)
