We were greeted this morning by Jeremy, the Buckner representative from last year’s trip. It was great to see him and we are excited that he will be joining us for the rest of this week.
Several of us used the time during which the girls split up into smaller groups to hand wash all of the shirts and rinse them out. It made us very grateful for the many blessings we have in our daily lives – like washing machines and dryers! And it made us realize what a wonderful thing it was to give the washing machine to the girls at Reyna de la Paz several months ago. During lunch, Eric was visited by his friends, Miguel and Esteban, again. It’s so much fun to see that they remember him from day to day, and that his afternoon of playing in the dirt with them made such an impact.
We began our time at San Ricardo by hanging out with the kids and taking lots of pictures. Then we sang several songs with them – including a new song that the Interns and the kids taught us. It was fun to see them excited to sing! Then we performed the second part of our on-going skit. In this “Act,” Maggie enters the scene and is tempted to join Michelle and Paul in sin, and cannot choose between going with Evan (Jesus) or sinning. Watch the video clip to see what she decides! (P.S. Giuglianna did a wonderful job doing an introduction and a recap of the drama both days - she rocks!)
Our time spent in smaller groups at San Ricardo was a little bit more difficult today. We’re not sure what the difference was today, but the kids seemed to be more distracted. But Giuglianna worked wonders again during the Bible story time, and even though the memory verse station was crazy, we saw that the kids are in fact learning John 3:16. Craft was also a little hectic because Heather tie-dyed with the teenagers, who weren’t always willing to cooperate. But the shirts got dyed and everything turned out well. We enjoyed the time hanging out with the kids at the end of the day and got lots of great pictures!

Good morning!
Love all the new pictures and stories of your work with the kids. Glad that things are going well, if not according to "Plan A" but in the end, the time you're spending there is all good.
Have a SUPER day!
Kris
PS--Michelle, I'm psyched that your dad joined the Superman message board...it's helping with the Hardee's withdrawal symptoms! Take care!
Hi Team,
Hi to Jeremy! Keep in mind that the enemy does not want the message of the gospel heard. We will pray that God would put a hedge of spiritual protection around you. It is often easier and feels more rewarding spending time at RdlP but the kids at SR are being blessed in ways we may never see.
On the business end of things. I think I had told some of you that the bracelets ( with the colors) were for carnival prizes, but that doesn't make sense if we want everyone to get one. Give them out whenever you think best. There are kids and adult sizes and just give out until they are gone.
Anyway, we will pray for a better day at SR, for endurance, patience and a love that "transcends all understanding" for all of the kids.
In Jesus' love,
Sue and kids
Your "Day 5" report reminded me how flexible you have to be each day - are you up to "Plan K" yet? You guys are doing a great job! Keep it up!
And yes, it's true, Michelle: I posted this blog's address on the S-Man message board for you - they were impressed I figured out how to even get on.
Please say "hi" to Jeremy and give Eric, Giuliana, Silvia, and Claudia all a kiss on the cheek for me.
Here's hoping you brought plenty of burbujas to go around.

Hello to the Peru team!! Cool that Jeremy is able to work with you this week too. I miss Guilianna, Sylvia, Eric, Claudia, and Jeremy and Bonito (sp?), and hope that Eduardo is well whatever he is up to. Please ask Guili to greet Lilliana and Ali for us too.
We will pray that the Holy Spirit goes before you to prepare the hearts of all the kids to receive Jesus' love and Good News. (Deut 31:8)
I praise God for your willingness to go to the hard places to share the Light of the world with those who have no families. Love to you all, Sue
Hi, All!
I feel so blessed to join you on this year's journey, even if it's from afar. Last year, up close, was better though! Love your updates on the blog and seeing the pictures of the Team interacting with the kids. Christ's love is shining on all your faces.
Stay healthy and get some sleep. Love you all...one, maybe a little more than the others. God bless.

Hi Heather. Penelope says I love you and I miss you and I want to see you and I am going to miss you when I go to the cottage and I want to see you but I can't because you are in Peru and I will give you a big hug from me when you get home. Hi mom. Dad reads the blog every day so I know he is thinking about you (while he is fishing the Tippy). I am praying for attentive listeners for your message. God bless and don't grow weary doing good.
Hello all and God bless. It is great to see all the wonderful pictures and read about your activities. Please say Hi to Jeremy for me. Last year he was a great "Dad" for all of us. It is really great to see all of your smiling faces with the Peru kids. You are doing a great work of the Lord in bringing some joy to all of them. Keep it up!! And take care of yourselves, too. Come home safe and sound and all fired up.
